  • Heartbreaker Guitars - New Arrivals

    July 07, 2019 3 min read

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Heartbreaker Guitars blog post where we discuss the amazing guitars in our shop that will make you Fall in Love. We are constantly receiving new inventory and so from time to time we put together a blog highlighting some of our favorite new arrivals. So, without further ado, here are a few of our favorite new guitars from July:

Rick Turner Model T Copper Top

The Model T is a guitar steeped in history. This absolute gem is stunningly beautiful and hearkens back to an era where the electric guitar as a commercially viable instrument was a pipe-dream. These guitars feature the Turner "Rick" double horseshoe pickup which is a modernized version of the 1930's Rickenbacker pickup used on early lapsteels. Rick has reinvented the pickup to make it more reliable and sustainable while still holding true to the heart of the tone that these pickups are famous for.

The guitar features a passive tone and volume knob, with a push pull switch on the volume knob that bypasses all controls and pulls directly from pickup to jack, allowing for maximum possible output.

The body is a nod to the old 1928 Kay Kraft guitars and mandolins. It features a Honduran Mahogany, which provides the warmth and sustain. The veneer is a formica laminate which really captures the feel of the 1930's.

The Model T is a really unique and creative guitar, and has claimed best in show by Guitar Player Magazine in 1996 for retro guitars.

This is an absolute steal of a deal. It's an iconic Rickenbacker Model, essentially brand new, played only a handful of times (less than most guitars that have in on a shop floor at a music shop) and being sold for a used price. This beautiful Rickenbacker 12 string won't be in the shop long, so make sure to jump on the best deal on a Rickenbacker 381v12! Here are a few features of this guitar that might help you Fall in Love:

    • 12-string version of the Rickenbacker 381V69
    • Semi-acoustic maple body with cat's-eye soundhole feels lightweight and balanced
    • Maple set neck has a good, chunky feel for chording
    • Thick, bound rosewood fingerboard
    • Vintage single-coil Toaster Top pickups for smooth, sweet tone
    • 3-way selector with independent volume and tone controls for each pickup
    • 5th blend knob for even more sonic variety

Alright folks, watch your hands because this is a red hot steal of a deal. Its is an absolutely beautiful PRS with all the quality and play ability you've come to expect from a Paul Reed instrument, and at an incredible price of only $819.00. And here is the real deal, you buy six strings and get the seventh free!

Seriously, though, this is an amazing instrument at an amazing price, and the seventh string can really add a new dimension to your playing and freshen you approach to playing guitar. Just listen to what Clint Lowery of Sevendust had to say about it:

“The PRS 7 string is the guitar I pull out to write with when I want to break through song writing barriers, and typically the results are riffs that make me want to smash things”
