New "= Edition" from Sheeran by Lowden

Limited to qualifying dealers, Sheeran by Lowden has announced the release of a brand new " Equals Edition " line of guitars!  Pre-order now!

A limited run of these special " = edition " Sheeran guitars has already begun production.  Only 3000 will be made in total and Heartbreaker Guitars will have them in just 3 weeks!  The most significant addition this new series offers is the inlaid equals sign, a very familiar symbol for Ed Sheeran fans.  When asked about the meaning behind the symbol, Sheeran explained, "I saw the symbol as it symbolizes life, not just new life, it symbolizes life and whether that's end of life or start of life."  The Maple inlay, shown below, is a beautiful edition to this fretboard. 

The second addition to this limited edition series of Sheeran by Lowden guitars is a set of carved butterfly emblems on both the feel cap and truss rod cover.  These symbols are not only an aesthetically pleasing enhancement, but also hold incredible sentimental value for Sheeran himself.  In an interview, Ed Sheeran explained the two symbols.  Two big events from Sheeran's past are credited with the use of each of these icons.

“I’ve spent a lot of my 20’s questioning who am I, why am I here, why do I do this, if I’m a singer what do I add to the world, it’s so much questioning,” he started out. “I’ve turned 30 and I feel like some of these questions have started to have answers but they started to have answers through two very, very massive moments in my life.”

The two events he speaks of are his daughter Lyra “...being born, which is new life and, one, my friend Michael [Gudinski] dying, which is death.”

“Both hit me in a way where you appreciate tomorrow more because of each one, if that makes sense, and I saw the symbol ‘equals.’ An equals symbol is the end of a question and the start of an answer, it’s in the middle of the two. I definitely feel like being 30 I’m on either sides ... In my 20’s there’s a lot of question, in my 30’s there’s a lot of answers, so the butterflies were essentially from a chrysalis, new life. It came to me one day, I don’t know why, but I have a lot of things come to me when I go running and I think it’s because your creative side of your brain sort of opens when you have nothing else to focus on.”
