The Features

The Taylor 612ce 12 Fret has Sitka Spruce Top with Maple Back and Sides. The Sitka Spruce top is a really classy and clean cut, and the Maple Back and Sides are truly naturally breathtaking and beautiful. Taylor has recently revamped the bracing and voicing on their 600 series and have created a well balanced new tone to all of their 600 series guitars. Even though this is a small body guitar, it still packs a great punch. The top has even been treated with Taylor's spruce roasting technique. This really helps open up the wood and give it a played in feel. Literally every aspect of this guitar has been optimized to create a balanced, powerful tone. The neck is Tropical Mahogany. The fingerboard is Ebony, and set with Ivoroid in Taylor's Wing pattern. The 12-fret neck features a shifted relationship between the neck and the body and a changed bridge position. The whole thing not only gives the midrange a lot more punch but, with the shorter scale length and smaller body makes this guitar immensely enjoyable to play.

The Electronics

This guitar boasts the renowned Taylor Expression 2 system. This allows for the entire character of the guitars tone to be picked up and amplified for live performances.
