The Laurel Canyon is Matchless’ first ever 6V6 amp influenced by the timeless music created by the legendary musicians who resided in Laurel Canyon in the 60s and 70s. For this amp, Matchless developed a more compact cabinet in consideration of the needs of the on the go musician desiring more portability. They tested several different cabinet sizes until finding the one that hit the sweet spot between portability and ability to showcase the tonal range of the Laurel Canyon to the fullest.

Powered by one 5AR4 rectifier tube, 2 x 6V6s and driven by three 12AX7s. The combination creates an unbelievably robust sound, dialed in with the Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Reverb and Master Volume.

The optional reverb is powered by two 12AX7/ECC83’s and drives through a 2 spring reverb tank. The reverb signal is also parallel to the input signal so there is no loss in tone or power when it’s turned up.

The speaker is a made in the UK Celestion Heritage G12H30 at 8 ohms. The speaker outs are comprised of a single 4 Ohm out and an 8 Ohm out, which can only be used individually one at a time.

The standard effects loop is a ¼” send and ¼” return non buffered loop. Only time based effects are recommended such as reverb pedals, delays, chorus, etc. Boost and gain pedals are recommended to be placed in front of the amp to avoid clipping the phase inverter.
