We first met Nik Huber in 2017 at the NAMM show, and we were immediately taken aback by the unmistakable quality of his beautiful guitars. At the time, he was so back ordered that he couldn’t take on new dealers. That changed in 2024 when we came into partnership with Mr. Huber.
The inception of the Dolphin ’59 comes from the idea to combine Huber’s recognizable Dolphin shape with the aesthetics and implementations of their previous Orca ’59 model, rendering a guitar with classy, unique presentation that produces an incredibly diverse array of tones. The guitar’s set of M. Haeussel 1959 pickups are crucial in creating the sort of vintage sound that Huber’s ’59 guitars are known to do, and provides the player with a guitar that will flourish universally under a wide selection of playing styles, amp settings, and genre preferences. All wrapped up in the distinct Dolphin shape with a faded sunburst that is evocative of classic electrics from previous decades, this ’59 is simply marvelous.
