The 2021 Rick Turner California Series Guitars have arrived! This Limited Edition Twin set of guitars (A Model 1 and a Renaissance RS6) are an exclusive build by Master Luthier, Rick Turner. The all-Mahogany bodies are accented with Northern California Curly Redwood and Santa Cruz Black Acacia. With a Maple neck and an Ebony Fingerboard, this killer set of guitars sports a 7th fret California "Golden Bear" inlay made of gold Mother-of-Pearl.
In this set, these gorgeous guitars come equipped with a Satin finish, rather than gloss. With fully-present patterns and striations of both the California Curly Redwood top, as well as the Black Acacia back, these guitars sport some of the most striking aesthetics that we have ever seen at Heartbreaker! With both of these guitars in your possession, and all of the custom features that they offer, your tone will be formidable on all fronts!
The Model 1 is loaded with the full electronics package including the Parametric EQ and the Piezo Pick up with blending electronics. You've also got a coil tap own board with this incredibly versatile instrument.
The Renaissance has a 5 layer satin neck finish making it smooth as silk for fast playing. Light as a feather, coming in at just about 5 pounds, this hollow body stage acoustic gives you pristine, true acoustic tone without the unwanted feedback commonly associated with amplified acoustic guitars. Rick achieves this by running a Cedar block down the center of the body. The guitar is a revelation!!
Although Rick was raised on the East Coast, he is California through and through! When he first made his trek to the Golden State he was just a young lad searching for inspiration as an up-and-coming musician. He found that inspiration and excitement at a local club called "The Golden Bear". It was there that he befriended many musicians and deeply immersed himself in the California music scene. It has since always held a special place in his heart. "I miss that old place" Rick fondly says of the Golden Bear Pub. "And I don't think I'll ever leave California... its felt like home from the moment I arrived".
