This Larrivee OM-40 is such a stunning guitar, in both look and sound! For those that may be unfamiliar with Moonspruce, the wood is typically harvested at high altitudes, and receives its name from from the point in the lunar cycle when the tree is cut; when the quantity of sap in the wood is the lowest, and the wood is at its driest.
Combining this Moonspruce with a beautiful example of Koa for the back and sides, this OM-40 produces a tone that is bright, tight, punchy and clear. Additionally, the Koa adds an extra element of power or "growl" to the low end, rendering this OM-40 as a well-balanced, wholly formidable instrument! Upgraded with the "Torch" inlay on the headstock, this guitar is simply striking!
