Blackheart Sassafras is native to Tasmania. Although it looks a lot like Myrtle, its actually a wood that is quite versatile. Considered very responsive and similar to Walnut and Koa, the Sassafras is extremely responsive to the lightest of touch. Don't worry though... you've got bags of headroom on this cannon! The Bear Claw Sitka Spruce finishes the tone with a vibrant "spank" to really bring out the McPherson clarity we've all come accustomed to.
