From the bench of Master Luthier Ed Claxton, Heartbreaker Guitars is pleased to offer two instruments from the same private collection.
This pre owned Malabar is built with European Maple and Master Grade Italian Spruce. Ed is renowned for his creations using this fantastic and rare Maple, and this guitar is a stunning example of why. The sound belies the instrument’s small size, as it projects like a much larger guitar.
Ed’s design philosophy is one of understated elegance. One addition however is Ed’s handmade mosaic rosette and bound soundhole, further adding to that aesthetic. This guitar features a neck joint at the 12th fret, with a multi-scale geometry from 24.75” on the treble side to 25.5” on the bass. To further pull every ounce from the top, this portion has a French polish finish. And just take a look at the figure on the Maple neck. Here is a chance to own a truly amazing custom instrument from one of the preeminent luthiers in the industry today. Replacement cost for this guitar would be very close to $20,000 if the woods are available, and it is currently less than one year old.
