It's Taylor Tuesday and we are Falling in Love with this amazing nylon stringed Taylor model! The Taylor 714ce-N has all the classic Taylor craftsmanship and a quality, as well as nylon strings for an added twist on the standard 714 sound.

The Body

The body of the Talyor 714ce-N is a Grand Auditorium body style with a soundbox depth of 4 5/8". The width of the soundbox at it's widest is 16" and the length is 20". The top wood is gorgeously grained Lutz Spruce. The back and sides are made from a breathtaking dark Indian Rosewood. The Rosewood and Spruce combination allows for enough projection to compensate for the milder tone of the nylon strings

The Neck

The fretboard of the 714ce-N is slightly wider with a nut width of 1 7/8" rather than the standard 1 3/4" width. This is to compensate for the Nylon strings. The fretboard radius is 20". The fingerboard material is made of ebony, and the neck is made of Tropical Mahogany. The Taylor 714ce-N has a scale length of 25 1/2". The head is slotted in a nod to the classical tuning machines. The overall play-ability of the neck has the feel of an incredible modern guitar, creating the perfect guitar to allow for a nylon experience for the steel-string player.

The Electronics

This guitar boasts the renowned Taylor Expression 2 system. This allows for the entire character of the guitars tone to be picked up and amplified for live performances.
